CLEANDiesel
For over 60 years Velcon has supplied filters for fuel conditioning for applications from 5 gpm to more than 5,000 gpm. With the world's largest indoor fuel lab, Velcon has developed a range of high quality products to meet the most stringent diesel and biodiesel fuel market needs.
DFO Series - Micronic Filtration
High Quality Filtration for Diesel and Biodiesel Appications
Features
- Reduced operating costs by removing particulates that can cause engine damage
- Reliable fuel injector performance when particulate contaminants are removed to meet ISO 4406 Cleanliness Standards
- Improved equipment uptime, reduces equipment failures, repairs, and/or replacements
- All filter component compatible with diesel and biodiesel blends
- Recommended change out pressure: 25 psid (1.7 bar)
- Buna-N sealing materials are standard
- Maximum operating temperature 225°F (107°C)
Aquacon - AD Series
Diesel and Biodiesel (FAME) Protection from Particulate and Water Contaminants
Features - All filter components are compatible with diesel and biodiesel blends
- Recommended change out pressure: 25 psid (1.7 bar)
- Water absorbance and particulate retention will increase differential pressure to the change out pressure
- Buna-N sealing materials are standard
- Maximum operating temperature 150°F (65°C)
- All AD products will remove free and emulsified water from both diesel and biodiesel fuels to levels below 50ppm
- The water absorbing technology used in AD filters is not effective in the presence of fuels containing high concentrations of alcohol
DI & DSO Series
Particulate and Water Removal from Diesel Fuel
Features - All filter components are compatible with petroleum based diesel fuels
- Downstream free-water level typically below 50ppm
- Recommended change out pressure: 25 psid (1.7 bar)
- Buna-N sealing materials are standard
- Maximum operating temperature 150°F (65°C)
- 6" (15.2 cm) outer diameter
- DI - coalesce flow direction - inside to outside
- DSO - separator flow direction - outside to inside
- Water coalescing is not effective in the presence of fuels containing high levels of surfactants/alcohols or unrefined biofuels
- Detergents and additives inhibits the ability of coalescers to effectively remove water by reducing Interfacial Tension and can eventually disarm coalescers
COMPATIBLE HOUSINGS
DFO and Aquacon AD Cartridges:
VF-61 & VF-62, VelMax Series, VF Series
DI & DSO Cartridges:

Clay Canister Elements
CO-718 Series Cartridges for Fuel and Oil Treatment
The Velcon CO-718 Series elements are intended for use in all clay treatment vessels designed for nominal 7” x 18” cartridges. The treatment/purification medium is a special blend of low volatile materials (LVM) fuller’s earth compounded to provide the optimum balance between adsorptive capacity and water resistance. With their ability to prevent channeling and their high particle structure stability, the elements assure reliable performance and long life in the most exacting process applications.
For further information on clay and how to deterrmine when the clay elements should be changed see data sheets. -

Separator Cartridges
Separator Cartridges
(14)
Filter/Separator 2nd Stage Elements.
Separator Cartridges are employed as the second stage in filter/ separator vessels. Their sole function is to repel coalesced water drops produced by the first stage cartridges while allowing hydrocarbon fluids to pass through. Water drops settle into the filter/ separator sump and are not carried downstream. All particle filtering is done by the first stage coalescer cartridge.- Optimum 2nd stage water removal.
- Choice of Teflon® Coated Screen, Synthetic or Pleated Paper Media.
- Field proven performance.
- Largest selection of replacement elements.
- TCS medium is 200 mesh stainless steel screen coated on both sides with green Teflon. The screen is lockseam folded and fastened with an internal aluminum clip.
- End caps and tubes are aluminum.
- Gaskets are Buna-N.
- Pleated medium is silicone treated resin impregnated paper with a protective outer aluminum screen jacket.
- pH range is 5 to 9.
- Maximum operating temperature is 200°F.

Superabsorbent Polymer (SAP) Free Water Barriers for Aviation Fuel
CDFX™ Series 2" OD EI-1588 2nd Edition Qualified Water Barrier Elements for Aviation Fuel Filtration
Next Generation Water Barrier Elements:
Since the introduction of aviation fuel monitor cartridges in aviation fueling, super absorbent polymers (SAP) have been the essential materials used in the final stage of airport ground fueling systems for protection of onboard systems from water contamination. The material’s ability to absorb and chemically lock in water have it’s challenges-potential media migration downstream.
Parker Velcon CDFX™ water barrier technology eliminates the uncertainty of SAP migration downstream by removing SAP from the equation while still providing the efficiency and water removing performance you can rely on as a drop-in replacement element. -
ACOX™ Water Barrier Filters for Small, Single Element Housings
A Cost Effective Solution
With our barrier technology, current filtration equipment at FBO and fixed fueling sites with lower flow rate systems can easily adapt this alternative solution. Parker Velcon SAP-free barrier filtration provides drop-in replacement for our monitor cartridges used in models VF-61 (5") and VF-609 (6") housings and similar competitors housings.- Minimal changes to your current operational procedures
- No modifications to the filter housing
